Nik Strong-Cvetich, Consultant,

Nik Strong-Cvetich is an environmental consultant, filmmaker, and human living in Santa Cruz, CA. He was the co-founder of the Conservation Leadership Program at the Monterey Institute of International Studies, a program that trains international professionals in critical aspects of conservation project management. He has presented and published scholarly work on ecotourism as a tool for peace-building and post-conflict resolution in the Balkans and East Africa, and serves as the Professional Training Program Director for International Peace Parks Expeditions. He has also worked as a consultant in ecotourism development in Croatia, Bosnia and Costa Rica. As Program Manager for the Resource Conservation District of Santa Cruz County and formerly as Associate Director of the Coastal Watershed Council, he has worked on water resource management issues in the Monterey Bay area. In 2009, he produced and directed his first documentary film, Build, which was featured in the Santa Cruz and Seattle Skateboard Film festivals. He is fluent in Spanish, French and Italian.
