Forrest McCarthy, Consultant,

MA in Geography from University of Wyoming; BA in Outdoor Education from Prescott College.
Forrest is a well-traveled and experienced explorer and mountaineer with a comprehensive understanding of mountain, desert and polar landscapes. As a specialist in physical geography and wildlife biology, he has studied the effects of climate change on the alpine and arctic environments of the American West and Alaska. Forrest has led scientific expeditions for the Wildlife Conservation Society, The National Geographic Society, Colorado College and The United States Antarctic Program and has taught wilderness and natural history courses for both Prescott College and Alaska Pacific University. As a veteran mountain guide for Alpine Ascents International and Exum Mountain Guides Forrest has led expeditions and climbs to some of the highest technical peaks on the planet and for fun, pushes the limits of human-powered adventure. While still an active climber, guide, and adventurer, he is currently the Public Lands Director for Winter Wildlands Alliance and serves on the Teton County Planning Commission in Jackson, Wyoming.
