Darren Campbell, Principal Consultant,
Coldstream Sustainability Group
MA in International Environmental Policy from the Monterey Institute of International Policy; BA in Environmental Conservation from the University of Colorado.
One of the founding members of Coldstream Sustainability Group, Darren is based in the Rogue River watershed in Southern Oregon where he currently works with Siskiyou Project as an advocate for Wilderness and Wild and Scenic Rivers while defending public lands from the threats such as mining, logging, off-road vehicle use, plant disease and invasive species. Seeing farmlands in his native Pennsylvania gobbled up by high-end subdivisions sparked an interest in sustainable land use planning, a field in which Darren was involved in while living in the Lake Tahoe area. As an Associate Planner with Regional Planning Partners, Darren worked on land use, transportation, recreation/tourism and environmental planning at various scales. Darren is also a founding partner of Coldstream Creative, a film production company launched in 2006 to create environmentally and socially themed documentary film projects. Their first film, Resorting to Madness: Taking Back Our Mountain Communities, benefited from his many years of working in and around the ski industry.
